TCGC Legislation Updates

Greetings, Patriots!

This week’s legislation summary highlights calls to action at the top that we have not yet promoted. Please make sure to download the full summary and make calls on the ones in our “Top Calls to Action” section. Also, it’s important to pay attention to the other bills that are still moving their way through the legislation process. There is potential that HB0809 (the Monsanto bill) may rear its ugly head again in an attempt to protect chemical companies from the consequences of their actions. We MUST be on high alert for bills they may want to slip through quickly at the end of this session when they think no one is paying attention.

Please hang in there with us for just a few more weeks. We’re hearing that they really want to end this session by the end of April to work on their re-election campaigns. So, things will probably move pretty fast from this point forward. 

As we begin wrapping up this session, we are making notes for how to improve next year. Where do you think we can improve, and what other information would you like to receive from us during the next session? We will also be publishing a voting record for each state representative and senator at the end of the session. It will feature some of the bills we found to be the most significant with the voting record for each legislator. We guarantee it will be eye-opening to some people. Stay tuned!
